A Style Box

With a new season, re-organizing and going through your closet is vital to looking your best all the time.

One of the chores I recomend is to update or create a "Style Box" that lives in your wardrobe.

A Style Box: a container of some sort that lives in or near your closet.  It should be easy on hand as you are getting dressed and adding new pieces to your wardrobe

·      Envelope or box for extra buttons, beads and thread.  A good idea is to pin buttons and thread that come off a new garment to the tags from that garment so you always know what garment those buttons belong to.

 ·      Envelops for receipts from clothes you’re still deciding on.  (Always know what the return policy is from any store that you make a purchase.   Most retailers give you at least 7 days to return things and store credit if not your money) so if you buy something and it just isn’t right, take it back!

 ·      Repair Kit:

§  Needle and thread in basic colors (travel size sewing kit is perfect)

§  Small scissors

§  Seam ripper

§  Safety pins

§  “Stitch Witchery” (Iron on seem maker, found at fabric stores) or fabric glue

§  “Snag Nab-It”

§  Lint roller

§  Pill remover

§  Clear nail polish

§  Stain removing pen

§  Black permanent marker

§  Shoe Buffer

§  “Gal Pal” for removal of underarm deodorant stains

§  Phone # of your Tailor, Dry Cleaner, & Shoe repair
 ·        A Style Journal: for writing down any notes, brilliant style ideas, great outfits or things you realize you are missing to make an outfit just right!
